Welcome to Shenley Jujitsu Club

We teach self-defence using the jujitsu martial art. This ancient system of unarmed combat was developed in Japan and used by the Samurai - it is a very effective means of defending yourself or others.

We train at Shenley Leisure Centre, Shenley Church End in Milton Keynes.

Training sessions are on Mondays in the Theatre and Fridays in the Gym

  • Juniors (ages 8 - 16) - 19:00 to 20:30 (Monday and Friday)
  • Seniors (over 16) - 20:30 to 22:00 (Monday and Friday)

If you are interested in joining the club or want to find out more about jujitsu feel free to e-mail us or just come along to a session. You'll find photos and videos on the website that might help you decide if jujitsu is for you.

Monday Training

There will be no Monday training in July and August - we restart on September the 1st.

The Friday sessions will continue as usual.

We teach defence against strikes, grabs and weapons such as sticks and knives. Jujitsu provides a wide range of techniques from pure escape, to controlling your attacker to the ground, to inflicting serious temporary or permanent harm when you are in fear of your life.

Students start at red belt and move up through the belts by grading regularly. Getting to black belt is not the point of learning a martial art, it is more about the journey of learning control and technique.

All the instructors have First Aid certificates and extended Criminal Records checks for working with children.
